As most of you know, the original members of the Taking Flight cast and crew finished up a while ago, though many of us love to hang out and here and continue to publish our artwork, chit chat, etc., while others who enjoy kelly rae's book love to come and post their work here and meet "kindred spirits."

I joined this group a month or so ago. Life conspired to keep me from working on the projects in the book so I'm just getting going.

I've always wanted to draw but I'm afraid to actually start drawing. One of the things that I hope, is that working through the projects and questions in TF will get me to my workspace everyday to create something.

I want to take the book page by page, and really, truly take flight.

I just wanted to say THANKS to teri for this site, for the encouragement of all, for the fun of working through KKR's book. I always wish work could go on forever when it is fun and instructional. I miss it here.
The other thing I wanted to say is that our little hospital gift shop now carries KKRs paintings. Who knew, Kelly, that you would be in such a small town gift shop? Congratulations!
